The horizont AS units (ranger® AS120 + ranger® AS180) are solar units and offer the advantage that they are delivered complete and therefore immediately ready for use. The horizont AS units are supplied with the U ground stake. This can already secure the grounding under favorable conditions on small pastures. For larger pastures or dry soil conditions, additional galvanized T-earth stakes, at least 1 m long, should be used. The U-earth stake is used for stability with these devices. The equipment has a good pressure against the ground due to the heavy battery. Especially on uneven surfaces and / or with stronger winds, the devices can be made to tilt. Due to the U-earth pole, the devices can be set up safely even in winds and uneven ground.
The built-in solar modules are characterized by their high efficiency. This is demonstrated by the small surface area at the rated outputs of 20 and 30 watts. A solar charge controller is built into the devices. Widely used are solar modules in which the cells are generously distributed on the module surfaces. These are placed in a carrier made of glass, which is usually stabilized and held by an aluminum frame. These modules are sensitive to hard impacts or even twisting, as the modules are not very flexible due to their construction. In the modules of the horizont AS devices, the cells are placed close together on the module in order to be able to generate a lot of power in a relatively small area.
The battery indicator shows the capacity - the filling level - of the battery in 3 steps. If, for example, the capacity should have dropped too much in the off-season - in the barn - the battery can easily be recharged via the supplied plug-in power supply. The plug-in power supply can simply be connected to the DC socket attached to the housing.
The new range of electric fencers is characterized by its ECO Power mode. Here, the power saving circuit automatically adjusts the power consumption to the condition of the fence, resulting in less energy consumption, less impact on the environment and lower costs. In addition, the electric fence device automatically switches to solar mode, which means that the other power source will not be burdened. The solar charging control system is installed in a weather-protected manner and guarantees trouble-free charging of different types of batteries.
